Clock icon 2 minutes reading time

Here at CDS, we’re incredibly proud of our 170-strong team – after all, they’re the ones who make all the magic happen.

That’s why, every month, we’re giving our blog readers a chance to get to know each member of the CDS family in our employee Q&A series.

Next up in the hot seat is our Account Manager, Fahima Hussen. With just 10 minutes on the clock, let’s go…

1. Sum up your role at CDS in one sentence:

I am responsible for cultivating and strengthening relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering exceptional service to foster long-term loyalty and business growth.

Fahima Hussen

2. What’s your favourite thing about your job?

Having the ability to contribute to business growth through customer retention and satisfaction. I also enjoy the potential to gain valuable insights into customer behaviour and preferences for strategic decision-making, which is only possible by nurturing meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues.

3. How did you become an Account Manager?

Holding a degree in business management and being a people person, I always aimed to interact directly with clients.

My career organically evolved and shaped its way into client relationship roles, and as luck would have it, here I am!

4. What drew you towards choosing CDS as an employer?

The agency's motto, "We simplify complexity", caught my eye, along with its values. The fact that there have been such incredible projects that really made a positive impact on society in terms of health, wealth, and safety in the UK makes me thrilled to be part of CDS and some of the high-profile projects in businesses across the public sector.

5. Describe the CDS ethos in just three words:

Positive, impactful, and outcome-driven.

6. What’s been your favourite project so far and why?

Even though I've been a part of the team for a short time, I have been fortunate enough to be involved in projects that entail a variety of pillars and departments within CDS. It's brilliant to see our teamwork and focus being conducive to client satisfaction from the bid to delivery.

7. Which brand would you love to work on a digital project with?

I have to say an international brand in the Portuguese or Brazilian market. As a native speaker, if I could work on a digital project in those markets, it would be a dream come true!

8. Complete this sentence: For businesses, employing an effective digital strategy means…

Defining the business's goals and its circumstances, understanding who your target audience is and how to efficiently communicate with them, and reconsidering the market position. Once you have planned this strategically, you will have unlocked the key to your success.

9. For a bit of fun, if CDS were a variety of biscuits, which would it be and why?

Marie biscuit. Its round shape symbolises harmony, unity, and balance. Just like CDS, it’s a full-circle approach.

10. Finally, if you could give one piece of advice to your 10-year-old self, what would it be?

Someone once rightly quoted, "Nobody is born wise", so work hard and you'll be just fine.
